Connect to the class Wi-Fi

You brought your laptop to a computer class. The instructor gave you the network name Community-Class and its password. Connect to that network.

Windows taskbar

Wi-Fi is on. Your laptop is not connected. The Network, Sound and Battery icons are at the right of the taskbar.

Get online using the network name and password supplied by someone you trust.

  1. Open Start to find apps. Open Settings with Windows+I when you need to change your PC’s setup.
  2. Select the taskbar Network, Sound or Battery icons, then Manage Wi-Fi connections.
  3. Choose the intended network > Connect. Enter its password > Next. Check that Windows shows a connection before opening a website.

All course practices are simulations: they do not change your PC, collect real passwords, or send messages. Some desktops use Ethernet instead of Wi-Fi.
